Welcome to Mix and Match week, team. First of all, when I say Mix and Match, what does that mean to you? Does your wardrobe work together or against each other? Are you constantly buying and feeling like you never get anywhere? I hear you. I’ve been there. This blog started talking outfits and what I wear while I was 100% there.

It just takes time.

For me, it was about figuring out what I like to wear and what appealed to me. It became less about what was on trend or having the latest, the newest or the must-have. Somewhere along the line, it became about ease, comfort and simplicity. It sort of dropped off the radar far as things that matter a whole lot to me.

Before you start questioning what the heck this could possibly be about, how up, I know how that sounds. But I do love the idea of fashion and curating a wardrobe. It’s exciting to see how far the options in plus fashion have come in the time since I first found ASOS and drove in head first.

Peplum, you have a lot to answer for.

From the very limited options available even five years ago, we find ourselves here. Not spoiled for choice, or free from the restrictions placed on us, but better off. But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m just not interested in all the new shiny goodness. My wardrobe, with every clean out, gets smaller and smaller. What I wear day-to-day is an even smaller. And I love it. It suits me just fine. Mixing and matching suit me just fine.

It’s funny how these things work out. I found a style I like, that works with my lifestyle and fits my budget both financially and emotionally. So, that’s my question this week. Where are you at in terms of your personal style? Are you still searching or have you found the way?

Is there anything I can do to help? Let me know, and until then, let’s get to the linky thing! I’ve got an outfit post coming later in the week, but I wanted to have this conversation first. Because I know some of you are feeling pressure to shop for items for this challenge, your blog or life. And I wanted to make sure you knew, that you need only please yourself. The rest, well, it’s not that important.

Link your blog post or photo!

Thanks for joining in, team. I can’t wait to see what you come up with this week. I think ‘You Can’t’ week was my favourite so far. The posts and the outfits. Thanks for sharing.
