Oh my goodness it’s been a while since I updated the dress portion of my wardrobe. Like, a reeeeeally long time. I was flicking through the hanging space (once again making inroads into the having a sale thing) and there was literally nothing I wanted to wear. So it was time. ASOS, here I come.

When I looked around, it had absolutely been featured in some blog posts and Instagrams and I knew I HAD to have it. I mean, hello, it’s gorgeous and will work for everything from work to the races. I need that kind of versatile in my wardrobe.

The simple cut is something I reach for often, it suits my shape and the cute crossover hem grabbed my attention.
Now I don’t know about you, but I have a go-to look. The girls pointed this out when I showed them my shopping haul. The straight line, gathered, and length just above or just below my knees. And when I shop online I know that I can buy a dress like this, check the measurements and make it mine knowing it will work for me. I highly recommend it as a strategy.
You have to have a strategy for this online shopping business. Otherwise, you are buying all sorts of things and they don’t work or you don’t like them or feel comfortable in them. So have an idea of what you want, and go for that and only that. I picked up another dress in this over and it’s a very similar style. But different. That’s my hot tip for today. Know what works for you, what you’re comfortable in and look for that online. Done deal.
