Some days you just have to get up, put on some face, get dressed up and go out on the town. This weekend we did exactly that (in a different outfit, which I forgot to get photos of in all my rushing around). So here’s one I prepared earlier. All black. All the boots goodness. Can’t beat THAT.
I’ve had this a-line turtleneck from Yours Clothing for a while now and hadn’t ever worn it. It turns out having something wrapped around my neck, not something I enjoy, in clothing. Which sounds dirtier than I intended it to be. My bad. There’s a variance in the fabric that in person looks like a sheer stripe which I love. I looked around for something similar but there wasn’t much to be found. Let me know if you’ve seen something and I’ll add a link.
Layering it over a simple black pencil skirt, mine is from 17 Sundays’ BASIC range. The addition of my heeled boots added warmth and simple chic effort that heels wouldn’t have been able to deliver. And let’s face it, if you’re going out for dinner, then out afterwards, you want comfy but cool. All I need is a jacket for between the car and venues and I’m set. Got to love being a Queenslander. Haha.
Wearing Yours Clothing Turtleneck, 17 Sundays BASIC skirt (sold out) and Step on Air Heeled Autograph Boots.

I love this outfit! I always feel like turtle necks are choking me lol And yass girl, the boots! haha
PS, sorry for the influx of comments, I tend to blog stalk on a Sunday/Monday! haha
Thanks babe! This one is short, which is nice. The only other one I wear is really draped, and even it can be a bit much because it’s a knit and folded over so REALLY thick.
Haha. Comments are ALWAYS welcome, I feel like they just don’t happen anymore. Not like the ‘old days’ of blogging. So yeah, I love it. Thank you for taking the time.
Yeah I got one from boohoo and wore it the other day and just kept yanking at the collar all freaking day lol
I know, I’ve only recently got into blogging and seriously stalking other bloggers and am a little shocked to see how little
Comments there are on posts – I hope people engage better on social media because I don’t want to think blogging is going out the window
Hahaha. Bloody turtlenecks. Lol.
And that’s it, there’s so many places and spaces for people to comment or talk back now that I see less comments here, but way more discussion on my Instagram and Facebook pages. So it’s much of a muchness, I suppose. But blog comments will always be my favourite, I’m old school, I suppose. 😉
Yeah thats fair enough I suppose, so long as they are interacting on some brand of platform 🙂
haha good to know that some peeps are still ol’ school 😉
Yeah, that’s me, old school. SO old school. 😀
