Favourites: WordPress Themes for Bloggers

Favourites: WordPress Themes for Bloggers

I've been on the hunt for WordPress themes for bloggers as a way to freshen up my website, and another site I was updating. This is something I do often enough. What can I say, the trends around this kind of thing change often and keeping up is essential. Don't laugh; these are the things that occupy my time. Haha. It wasn't long into my search that I had a billion and one tabs open. Then I realised, maybe finding the right theme for your blog is something you guys struggle with too. And here we are.   Before we start, let me say a couple of things.   Firstly, all of the templates...

Low-cost artwork for my office makeover

Low-cost artwork for my office makeover

Lately, I've been on the hunt for some low-cost artwork for my office. Artwork? Maybe, calling it something more like decor or wall prints or something would be more accurate. Stuff for the wall, you get the drift. I found a few great, affordable, options during my most recent office makeover and thought I'd share. Plus I'll share some photos from the office (from before I moved my desk, again).   A gallery wall has always been something that featured pretty heavily in my office.   Back in my first home office in the Jasmine house, I used floating shelves. Since we moved here, it...

Capsule Wardrobe: Casual Style

Capsule Wardrobe: Casual Style

What do you think about when I mention a casual style capsule wardrobe? For some, it will be jeans and tees, and for others, less interested in waistbands it may be t-shirt dresses or a go-to maxi. Which is it for you? Or perhaps, like me, you are a combination of both? Since I started working at home full-time, my need for clothes to leave the house in has gone from light/moderate to non-existent! That's before any of the stay at home orders or lockdown. Most days I work in either cut off denim shorts (which I couldn't find any decent ones online this time, I've added jeans and other shorts...

Not sure where to start when it comes to creating a life you love? It can all seem overwhelming, right? But what if I told you that by taking on these small, everyday habits, you could start to cause a significant shift in your life? You're in luck because that's what I'm talking about. Because significant change is tricky, hard to face and can be overwhelming. But when you start creating a life built entirely on how you choose to live, it's the small things that are in your control. What it took to change my life wasn't big, knee-knocking change, it was the small things. Taking small easily...

You didn’t fail if your pants don’t fit!

You didn’t fail if your pants don’t fit!

I thought the time for this post had passed. Back when we first went into lockdown, it was a hot topic to discuss gaining weight, being ashamed of that, and generally cracking jokes at coming out of quarantine (gasp!) fat. Then it tapered off, and I thought, okay, good, I don't have to say anything.   But hello, it's back.   And not just because our friends in Victoria are back in lockdown or that second wave clusters are popping up all over the shop. But because it seems, the I don't fit my clothes angst is cropping up again along with the 'jokes'. I am to tell you one thing,...

Female-Run Business Podcasts

Female-Run Business Podcasts

I've been a book worm since I first learned to read. Almost as long as I've been fascinated by business and how it all works. Lately, when it comes to consuming business, marketing or digital entrepreneur content, I'm more likely to listen to a business podcast rather than read a book. That goes for other topics too, like body image (I have a list for those podcasts too). But, scroll the top podcast lists and you will find that a lot of the business content, is predominately male-dominated. Looking for something from the female perspective, I've developed a list. To be clear, my own list up...
