My easy winter work style

My easy winter work style

Recently my office at work moved locations and I find myself in a Construction Depot with all the dust and dirt that entails. On the upside, I don’t have a great deal of customer contact, so I’m actually pretty much ok to wear whatever I like. Winning! So my work look, with the addition of these Autograph Fashion boots, has been all about easy layers.

Mostly black, as per.

My favourite thing of all time this winter is once again the sleeveless jacket. So great for that run from the car to the office and just as comfortable in a heated office when you get there. It’s a great compromise especially for those of us far enough north to make the cold weather manageable. That’s my hot tip for cold weather.

That and boots, so thank goodness it is boots week. Well, unofficially, but we are talking all boots, all week loooong. If you want more tips on wearing this style of knee-high boots check out my post from yesterday. Later in the week I’ll be uploading an ankle boots post along the same lines. Any questions? Ask them in the comments and I’ll update the post with the ones that need more info.

Winter, it finally showed up and isn’t it looooooover-ly.

Casual Weekend Outfit

Casual Weekend Outfit

Well, nothing beats a long weekend that kicks off with your birthday for those lazy weekend vibes. As I settle in tonight to write this I can’t help but miss the weekend that was. But I don’t miss it enough to want to rush the next few days and my butt on a plane to Melbourne ASAP. Thursday afternoon, come at me.

The advantage of a lazy weekend is that there is plenty of time to hang about, grab your husband type and make him photograph your outfits for the blog. Something that we have been trying to do more often, but sometimes failing. But this weekend, all shimmery and glowing from the chocolate high, we crushed it.

We even had to mix things up a little since a new business moved into the building with my go-to white wall. Shock horror.

Shock horror.

But now, the outfit details yeah? This knit, from the recent 17 Sundays release, is the star here and believe me it’s something special. It needed some photos. If you have a chance to try one on, do. The knit pattern is beautiful and the colours are going to work for EVERYONE. Like, every single freaking one. It’s a dreamy khaki combination of awesome. Paired with my new button down skirt from ASOS, it’s casual and cool and easy to wear. It’s a win. Don’t you think? The cute lace up flats are a bonus.
