If you feel like you’re under pressure from the diet industry machine to change your body in some way in the new year, think of how girls must feel. New year, new who? Diet plans and ‘get healthy’ resolutions disguising less than ideal ways to treat yourself. It’s a minefield out there even now. 

While we do our best to keep conversations about holiday weight, fitness resolutions and diet talk away from them (or I hope you do), they hear it. All of it. And it impacts them and the way they see their body. The choices you make and actions that you take impact them and what they grow up to believe is normal. Reasonable. Required, even. 

So, with that in mind, I decided to put together a list of books for girls that will start some conversations and, hopefully, help them figure this whole thing out.
