In the middle of another flood in Gympie. Moderate

In the middle of another flood in Gympie. Moderate and rising with more rain still falling. And we'd ordered grocery delivery before we knew how big it would get. This morning I received a call from my local supermarket team to say they may have to send people home early. I'd been expecting the order to be cancelled since just after I placed it.

But that's not what they were calling for. Nope! They asked if our order could be delivered by a staff member on her way home to our side of town rather than the truck later. Which probably won't happen if the highway and main bridge close. We spoke for a bit, and a plan was hatched. Despite this craziness, I'll get my groceries (our regular monthly shop) because they went out of their way for me.

Talk about above and beyond. They don't know me; there's no reason for them to do it. They're just out here being good to people for no reason. I can't wait for my feedback form to come to my email so I can share the love. Until then, I thought you guys might like a little good news, people being great, kind of story to kick off your weekend. 🤗🥰
