And I tentatively went to the scales…

… One month on. And I have been bad, I have been good. I have walked and I have skipped them. I have eaten well and eaten badly. And I am glad that until this post was being prepared I haven’t been on the scales. Getting on the scales does weird stuff to my head. I have been known to base entire days on what the figure on the scales is. Scary. But true.
So this month, since my first Fat to Fit bloghop post, I have lost 4kg {My scales go in 500grm lots, I think we might get more technical ones}.
I am talking to a lady I work with who has had great success with WW to date about joining and attending her meetings. I find it hard to justify the cost. Hang on. As I typed that it occurred to me that until OcSOBER (no T apparently, whoops) we would spend $18 a six pack. If I join on line, it is less than this a week. So scratch that consideration. We can afford it. Definitely.
It is my plan to keep me on track and moving as we head into the Christmas mad period. What strategies are you putting in place. And yes, I know it is October but seriously, the count down is on. Tell me your plan to keep this train moving forward when there is so much temptation in the air…

  1. I started doing Weigh-In Wednesday with Anna yesterday through my blog. Although it's early days, I have a weekly spreadsheet (yeh, sounds anal) that I'm listing what I have to do each day / week and putting it on the fridge – I'll adjust it each week based on my goals for the week. Well, already I love looking at all the ticks! So, think that will work for me at least until I get bored with it! And cutting out the carbs just for 1 day has seen 2.5kg go – jeez, what fluid I hang on to!

  2. Nice loss. :)I still belong to temptation sadly. She is a seductive woman I fight on a daily basis. We're currently half half. Depends on the wiles she uses.

  3. 4kg in a month is sensational! WELL DONE!

  4. Congratulations on the loss – that is an awesome effort!!x

  5. Mel, when I lost my 18kg, I started 2 days after my birthday…that was on the 27th of October and still managed to keep loosing weight over Christmas. Then by March, I was there, right where I wanted to be. Don't let Christmas be a stumbling block. Use the inspiration to show the world your will power!!! Keep up the fantastic work. Love Tam

  6. Congrats on the 4kg by the way – that got lost somehow in me going on about myself! Selfish, me me me cow that I am!4Kg loss over a month is really steady and a great way to go!

  7. 4kg!! That's great!I'm aiming for 3kg per month, and I won't be weighing until the last day of each month. Don't want to get discouraged you know.
