And my first stop is usually eBay. I’m a traditionalist apparently. I have had my eBay account for almost 10 years. Same user. I think that makes me senior management material. Someone write eBay a letter. I have my favourite seller’s flagged. I buy everything from shoes through to paintings. But you knew this about eBay already. Let me tell you a little story about finding things you’ve search for and nobody has.
Christmas last year my mother asked me what I wanted for a gift. I told her I had seen this new bag. On a billboard. And I loved the colour. I didn’t even care which shape of the range I got it in. I just wanted the colour. And so the search commenced. It was nowhere. And my mother, well she is a serious shopper. She had looked everywhere. And when all else failed. We went were all desperado’s go in search of the holy grail.
Ebay.
We searched colbolt blue guess bag. And there it was. The only one being offered for international post even. It wasn’t cheap. It was virtually retail once you added postage. But I didn’t care. Mum didn’t care (I was the last on her shopping list). And when it arrived it was perfect. And then it was gone to be wrapped and placed securely under the Christmas tree. Isn’t she a beauty.
