Things I almost blogged about…

I almost blog about a million things a day. Do you do that? Think of, oh, I have to blog about that. Well I do. So here is a selection of funny, strange and random things that didn’t quite make their own blog post. And of course, there is a property manager story here… Derr. No brainer.

…How great it would be to own these shoes, and how painful they would be to wear. Argh, The heel blisters you would get from these babies. Oh the bloodshed. The totally necessary, and oh so worth it, bloodshed. Let us just admire them for a moment or two longer before you scroll on… Ready, steady, ADMIRE… Sigh.

I almost blogged about that people seem to have taken my, I’m not trying to get pregnant statement as a I’m secretly pregnant and they have guessed my secret, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Oh so you thought I was looking a little heavier around the middle and your boobs look huge? Oh you did, did you. Well. I’m not. I’ll tell you when I am, thanks. I was like, this is the worst case scenario. I really need to remove my blog feed from my facebook page. and by the way, my boobs, they are always huge.

I also almost blogged about the weather and how I adore living in Queensland. Those perfect blue sky sunny days that are crisp and clear and wonderful. But it then, it turned cold and windy here and that pissed me off. I was no longer happy at the weather and that was out the window.

I was thinking about blogging out a list of stuff. General, things I do every day stuff. Property manager type stuff. Like today we were talking about this one time that one of the ladies was having a disagreement about an exit report and handover dates of the keys of a property. Which happens often enough. However what is doesn’t is that the tenant threw his keys at her and stormed out of the building. Shocked gasp. Wait. It gets better. When she went to pick them up, from their discarded floor position… they were actually his car keys. And then he had to come back, rather sheepishly, to ask for them back… Please. She made him say please. Heehee. Gosh how I laughed at that today.

And I was thinking about doing a sook because I have been stuck on the same number of followers for weeks now. I lost a couple and one came on board. I was going to mope and chuck the sads and all that. And then I had a little reality check from my Hubby. Do you wanna know what he said? He said ‘get over it, you were happy when there was 10 people following your blog, the rest is cream’. He’s right of course. And funny. So thank you all for sticking around. Is there anything in particular you would like to hear more or less about? I’m open to suggestions, I may not take them, but I’m open to them.

There you go. THAT is what I almost blogged about today. What did you almost blog about today? Facebook or twitter status thingy’s count too for my non-blog writing readers. And are you wondering why this post is in italics? That’s because I’m kinda skippy from all the caffeine I drank today, apparently I gave up giving up caffeine too. Watch out, next week I make take up smoking again. Ha!

  1. I never even thought to take your pregnant statement that way. Interesting, the way people think. I think that these random things as a whole are a much better post than one thing singular, if that makes any sense.

  2. I often think of things then either run out of time, or decide against them. My most recent thought was to blog about sex, but then my kids and my Mum read my blog – so I am rethinking, but it may still appear.I too am puzzled by the reverse understanding of your pregnant post … strange how people's minds work – I certainly took it at face value.

  3. Yeah, I do the "I should blog about this" thing all the time. But then I NEVER GET AROUND TO BLOGGING ANY OF IT! I'm already so behind I could cry…

  4. OMG I'm in lust with those shoes.HHAHA about the key thing. I'm having my first rental inspection next week, maybe you could blog a list of helpful hints for tenants! :D

  5. I can so relate to this post!More so than usual :-PIt is a challenge finding the 'right' thing to blog about. Sometimes ideas just perfect for facebook and random things are good for twitter. But blogging is a special beast on its own.

  6. Those mirrored shoes? you'll get no admiration for them from me. I think they're ugly.I love a random thoughts post; little peeks into your mind. Makes you more real to me.

  7. Hey, I think I'm the one that came on board :) I love your blog, I'm a property manager too and it's so refreshing to read that I'm not the only one who deals with this crap. While I know you can't talk about work too much (I don't like to discuss it on m blog much either) some tips on how you cope at work would be great! You are my new favourite blogs, keep up the good work

  8. You just make me smile, you and your shoes and your property manager tales. (Have emailed you) xx

  9. OMG- I think I just had an orgasm over those shoes.
