Thirty before Thirty – The Done Version

There’s much to be said for having a list of goals, of things you want to achieve by a set date. I do it all the time. I think to myself, heck yes, watch me go. Goals, here I come. And as I approach my 30th birthday {something I am looking madly forward too} I have considered a number of times writing a list.

Things to do before I’m thirty! You know the type.

But being a little different, a little odd even and a large dosage of competitive I thought best I salve my soul with acknowledging the things I have done, the things I’ve achieved, places I’ve been and adventures I’ve had. So that’s what I’m going to do. And I’m going to make it a weekly post from now until I’m thirty. Which oddly enough gives me somewhere around 30 something weeks. So watch out for them every Monday.

Did you have a bucket list? A reverse bucket list?

That’s a good way to do it! Looking forward to it. I have a 30 before 30 list. Another year and a half to complete it.

It is, right!? None of this angst, just acknowledgement for where I’ve come from. That’s the plan. :)

I have 8 months until I’m 30, and thanks for reminding me!! I need to write a list of things I REALLY should have done before I’m 30. Get my license, travel in a plane. I’m so damn sheltered. Now in a state of PANIC!! Your way ahead of me…

Haha. It was the panic I was trying to avoid. I can imagine me, on the eve of my 30th having some sort of break down over never having taken a train trip across country or something equally as whatever. Haha. So I won’t. Not this time anyway. ;)

Sounds awesome, I look forward to reading the posts.
Do I have a bucket list? Um yeah I guess of sorts, I know what I want but I don’t put time constraints on it. I find in my life at least that if I let my goals and dreams come together organically (when the universe sees it’s the right time for me) I have a lot better run, then pushing for things to happen and have the frustration of it not all happening NOW.

That’s it exactly. You know how I get… So I’m going the other way. Acknowledging all I’ve achieved so far. All I’ve done. All that good, warm fuzzy stuff.

I think so too. Looking forward to it!

  5. I have a bucket list! I don’t have any specific date to get it all done though, no 30 before 30, but I have one. It’s a random mish mash of things, not all I believe to be attainable, but things I’d love to achieve/do! You can see mine here

Thanks for sharing Nat. I like the no deadline just do it before the end type list. Bet yours has some amazing stuff on it. I’ll check it out.

  6. What a fantastic idea! I just noticed #1 is up. Congratulations on your 10 years and I look forward to seeing the whole 30. How wonderful when you have it all to look back on and feel so grateful and blessed. :)

Thanks Michelle. I’m excited to complete the list {sort of backwards, you know} and get really present to all the amazing things I have or have done in my life.
