So, my girl Danimezza was loaned a VolvoS60 for the week I was there. And given the kilomteres we covered, that was a wonderful thing. I’m a car kid. You might not have noticed, but I am. My parents, my non-smoking, non-drinking, non-gambling parents, had a thing for cars. Their disposable income was always used to upgrade their cars, try out a new one or car type stuff.
Technically. I’m a dunce. I couldn’t fix an engine or tell you how one runs. I couldn’t even give you most car’s specs. But I know what I like and I love to drive. The faster the better. I would consider myself a good driver. A safe driver. So don’t get the wrong end of the stick there. I’m not a hoon. I’m well trained. Ask my Dad.
Sooooo, when Dani said I could drive first {squeeee!!} I was in car heaven. The last person I knew that drove a Volvo was my father’s aging Uncle. And by aging I mean 93. I’d thought grampa car. Flat out. Stylish and elegant, yes. But heavy and duuuuulll. But nothing prepared me for this. I wanted one immediately. It was hot.
It was the comfort, the gadgets and paint colour {with matching nail polish, hello matchy matchy wonderful}. But once I was driving it, the real fun started. The way she {something THAT sexy has to be a she, don’t you think?} sat low on the road and held tight. Given that 110km p/hr was the fastest speed limit we were only getting started. I itched a little to push the pedal down and really see what she had. Oh my. I was smitten.
And yes Twilight fans, this IS the car the Bella and Edward left their wedding in. That’s what I am told, anyway. It made me sigh a little in the cinema, I wanted the loaner back. I missed my hot little friend. Ha. Anyway, back to the details.
So when Dani asked if I’d do a video to show her readers how cool we are the car is, I jumped at the chance. And later, got really nervous of making a tool of myself. Mostly I was worried people might think I take myself seriously posing by the car, wind blowing my hair. BAHAHA. Anyway. The end result is that shocking screen capture freeze at the top. Sexy!? It’s a wee bit crazy and laugh out loud funny. Well, it was for me!
