| Yup. I TOTALLY made that. |
- Marilyn Munroe. No, seriously. I’ve read the biographies, I’ve watched the movies. I’m enthralled. I want to know more. I’d love to meet her and ask. About her life, why she did what she did and her death, of course. Yup. Now you know. Total stalker.
- Nelson Mandela. Clichéd but true. Let me at him. I have so many questions. But mostly I want to hear him speak. If learning patience really is my lesson in this life, than I’d like to go to the top with regard to teachers.
- Baz Luhrmann. I’d probably even make him decorate. Something fabulous and over the top. I believe someone with that level of creativity and vision will always make for great dinner conversation. Every. Single. Time. I think he’d love Marilyn too.
- Marian Keyes. One of my favourite authors. Writer of all things wonderful Irish Chick Lit. I’ve read all of her books. Over and over. I adore them. I like to think some of her style would rub off on me. But mostly, I think she’d be the one to chug the wine and get messy with me. Haha.
- AND FINALLY my Hubby. Because he’d get seriously stroppy if I was having a cool party without him.
And now, a word from our sponsors; (Haha, I crack myself up!}
Tonya said; I’d make my “guests” work for their dinner. I’m thinking:
- Dinner by Jamie Oliver
- Dessert by Donna Hay (with Masterclasses as we go, of course)
- Entertainment by Michael Buble
- And shared with my darling husband
- Jimmy Giggle and Hoot the Owl can get my kids into bed
- Allan (Dead)- My dad’s dad. He died when my dad was in his 20s, long before I was born. Sometimes I get told that my fingers are like his. I’d sure like to meet this man who I take after.
- Dad (Alive)- It’s been a long time, but I’m sure my dad would appreciate the reunion. I would love to see them interact, and listen to their conversations.
- Grandma (Dead)- Grandma is my mum’s mum. It’s been quite a few years since her death, but now that I’m making her a great-grandmother (again) I think I’d like to tell her about it.
- Grandad (Dead)- Grandad is my mum’s dad. Again, I’d invite him for the re-uniting value.
- Mum (Alive)- Now that mum’s going to become a grandma, I think it would be lovely for her to hang out with her parents, just for one night.
- Coco Chanel – I would sneakily convince her to give me access to everything Chanel – from lipsticks to handbags!
- Angelina Jolie – Who doesn’t want to Lip Stalk her sexy pout? Plus, we need an insider to tell us about the truth about Hollywood goss.
- Lady Gaga – She’s intriguing and entertaining. We would collaborate and set up a lip cosmetics range called Lady Lip Stalker.
- My Husband – He’s my better half – need I say more?
- Darren Browse, aka Problogger – I need his blogging pearls of wisdom…and my Husband needs another dude to talk to while the rest of us females talk about cosmetics, fashion and gossip!
- Eddie Vedder- lead singer of my favorite band Pearl Jam. To tell him how much his music has meant to me.
- Robin Hobb- My favorite author. She is utterly amazing. And I’d love to get her inside info on what happened to Fitz and Nighteyes in the 20 or so years between trilogies.
- That guy from those ‘Where the hell is Matt?’ dancing YouTube videos. He seems like he’s had some awesome adventures and I’d love to hear all about them! (and I could teach him a few more dance moves).
- Westly- from The Princess Bride (the Westly of 1987 not 2011). I’m pretty sure we are meant to be together and I think he could teach me some mad sword skills. And adventures in his pirate ship would rock too.
- Bernard- from Black Books. His dry English humor and all around drunkenness crack me up! And have the party at Disneyland!
- Roald Dahl – A distant relative and a favorite author, the stories he’s written. The worlds he’s transported his readers both young and young at heart. I think over a scotch or two great stories could be shared.
- Queen Elizabeth I of England – A second daughter, born in wedlock who went on to to rule her country? I love my history and I have read many non fiction and fictional books based on her life. She fascinates me. I imagine her to be engaging well spoken, stern but polite. Oh to get her relaxed over a bottle of red.
- Freddie Mercury – an icon for his music, his performances, high charity work. An icon for so many a man of many talents who was never afraid of who he was. I think I would just want to thank him.
- Sean Connery – original silver fox. Swoon… Seriously in 1999 aged 69 he was voted sexiest man of the century. Seen the movie entrapment? OMG cue token dinner party eye candy, although I haven’t seen him lately but back then yes pls…
- Rick. Flippin. Astley. – Yep, I’m going there. Seriously guys. His greatest hits album is the most played on my iTunes. Every time I hear Never going to give you up. I will start tapping my foot, there have been times I will start dancing randomly in public if I hear his song. A couple of pints and karaoke and my night is set..
- John Bonham
- George Harrison (1967)
- Keith Richards (1972)
- Jimi Hendrix
- Pink.
If dinner turns sour at least dessert would be sweet ;)
