Last night I attended Caitlin’s black and white themed 21st birthday party. Having had a black, white and silver wedding, I spent the first half of the evening sighing that I wished I’d had the forethought to request guests only wear black and white. The whole room was awash with monochrome.
Perfection in my books.
For the party I had planned on wearing a little black dress. Simple, elegant, on theme. However while outlet shopping with Danimezza I found a striped, pencil skirt styled dress. It was a larger size than I would normally wear but tried it on anyway. *edited to add, because I forgot! It’s from City Chic.
And it was all kinds of perfect.
So I wore the dress (which retails for over $100, and I scored it for $49), black sitelleto heels, white mix apparel cardie (super light, just perfect) and some va-va-voom mascara I pinched from Dani (Benefit – They’re Real!). Which can I say, I will be buying next time I’m near a makeup counter. I didn’t curl, or line or anything but apply the mascara to my lashes. Wow. Right!?
So Dani, Aidan and I paraded into the venue feeling a million bucks. Danced, (I) drank and ate yummy food. Mostly we ohh’ed and ahh’ed over the beautiful dress Caitlin wore, the decorations and the overall effect.
But I’ll leave THAT up to Caitlin to share with you.
