Well, not MY wedding dress. The dress I wore to the weeding on the weekend. It was a beach side ceremony followed by dinner at the RSL club nearby. I wanted a dress casual feel. There was much searching around and an attempt at borrowing thanks to the generous Chantelle.
Finally on the Tuesday {or Wednesday?} before the Friday wedding I went with the Virtu Spellbinder Maxi {out of stock online but available in limited stocks in store}. I wore a large. It was a little big but I REALLY wanted the length. A large is a size 22. It cost me just over $80 after I joined the members card. It retails for $89.95.
I combined it with beige Target wedges and a clutch which were $18 and $9 respectively and a necklace from Diva for $16. Later in the evening I ditched the necklace {it was a little small, I’ll have to get an extender}. For dinner I added my coral/orange cardigan from the Mix Apparel range.
I’ll be wearing this again. Dressy, casual, to the shops or for coffee. This dress is comfortable and easy to wear. The wedges I’m in love with. And the necklace is so funky it’s going straight into my regular rotation. It also goes to prove that you don’t need to spend a fortune on an ensemble for a special event. My total spend here was $138 including the dress, cardie, shoes, bag and necklace.
