Freakin’ Awesome Weekend!

So hi! Did you miss me? I certainly missed my little place in the interwebs during my busy, busy weekend. We’ve had a pretty good run of awesome weekends at the moment. And it should continue right through September with a camp out planned for my Sis’s birthday next week. Hello beautiful Inskip Point. Don’t worry. I’ll take my camera. It’ll be like you’re there.
But yeah, back to this weekend. It kicked off early with a wallet’less trip to Ikea. Thank goodness my SIL offered to loan me the cash so I could shop, but most importantly eat and drive home. Not the best of starts to the day. But things went pretty darn well from there. We got everything we needed. And more than a few items we wanted. It was a fun day that I plan to share more of. My SIL Tam and her girls {Ash & Gabby} were excellent shopping partners.
Saturday saw me head off to the local races for my cousin Bec’s Hens Party. We got dressed up. And let me tell you, I would have to have been close to the whitest person there. Spray tans abound. I wore my Autograph black dress with nude shoes and black bag and floral arrangement on my head. I love these days. They make me laugh and laugh. And it makes me grateful for my family. These girls make up such a huge part of my life. I love their guts.
And then, we were already at Sunday. Which this week saw the return of pancake Sunday. A tradition that we love. And it means we have three quarters of a batch left over for Sunday visitors or Monday lunch. A lazy start to the day is essential, followed by some pancake flipping, coffee and lounging around eating on the couch. A simple pleasure. And one of the great loves of my life.
So there you go. An simple, quick wrap up of my weekend. I look forward to either giving you more details soon, or sharing some pics through the facebook page. The race day ones in particular! There will be a post {or two?} covering the Ikea lounge room makeover. And I plan to share my sugar free secrets to a pancake Sunday.
BUT! See, there is always a but. For the next two weeks I am temp’ing with a local real estate while their sales support lady is on holidays. So I’m making a short lived return to my real estate roots. I won’t be having my afternoon nana naps. I may not be charming at all. I may be tired and cranky. We’ll see. But it will be fun. I haven’t sales support for years. Though I’ll bet you, sales people are still exactly the same. Haha.
See you later gators.
