OMG WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR!?

This Saturday is the Hello Brisbane Hello Blogger Events Dinner & Drinks {phew, THAT was a mouthful!}. And I have no real idea what to wear. I was thinking boots, tights and a long line top. Possibly for the last time before the weather turns. I don’t think I waaaant to wear jeans. But I could. There are dress options too. But not to short. Let me tell you why…
We will be in the Valley {Fortitude Valley, for non-Queenslanders}, at a trendy bar and sitting on the floor in a private dining room. All of which have their own issues. First, I’ll be using public transport and probably walking {omg. No sky high heels, sigh}. I need to be dressed up enough to get in, not over dressed and wearing something I can sit on the floor in comfortably. See my problem? 
What would you wear? Those that are going… What are YOU wearing?

    OK crap – when I asked on FB what to wear I forgot about sitting on the floor – my plans to wear my 1 cute wrap dress are now ???. how do you sit on the floor in anything other than jeans / trousers… will wait to hear what you are wearing and then think again LOL

    Wow, sounds like fun. Sitting on the floor definately makes the dressing part tricky! I would go with leggings and a long top or dress over leggings! And heels, you can never go wrong wearing heels!! (you can always take them off or take some of those ballet flats that roll/fold up and go in your bag)Have fun! Can't wait to see the pics!

    I will have my handbag the size of a suitcase so you are more than welcome to stick some flats in my bag : ) I'm wearing a maxi dress, so doable on the floor, I know this because I sit on the floor anywhere with the small people! Hahaha

    I'd probably go with either leggings and a dress with boots, or a maxi dress and bejewelled flats… as long as the maxi was a stretch material there shouldnt be a problem sitting on the floor… Good luck!

    The benefits of 50s/rockabilly fashion – flowing dresses/skirts that are good for modesty when sitting on the floor :)Get your retro on!

    I have no idea.. Just pulled EVERYTHING out of my wardrobe and couldnt find anything suitable.. Humpf… Might have to hit the shops tomorrow :)

    Oh no! I didnt realise that it was such a classy place to eat! Are jeans allowed? If not I am in big trouble! I was thinking jeans, black boots and a nice top?What about what you have on in the photo? I reckon that looks good.I dont fancy sitting down in a dress!CheersLisa
