She Wore What :: Conference

I did a fair amount of contemplating on the blog and off about what I would wear to the various Blogopolis events. When I finally decided I started looking around for items to pull it together. So here is what I came up with. There was the Friday Hello Blogger Pre-Conference Drinks {image on the left}, followed by the actual reason for being there, the Nuffnang Blogopolis Conference {middle image with Caitlin of Closet Confessions} and finally the Nuffnang Post Conference Drinks {repeat image on the right}.
My sister’s wardrobe helped as far as accessories went. The sunglasses and bags were her’s. The shoes were a bargain purchase {thanks Hubby!} from Target!! I don’t know about you guys, but size 11 feet’ed ladies have to love Target. I wore Target shoes to the Friday night event too. The rest of the time I wore my Autograph boots {image below}. Which are borderline farmer boots but too comfortable to argue with. And sorry ladies, these ones are sold out on line. And mine have much to much mud all over them to sell them to you.
Thankfully Melbourne didn’t turn on the freezing weather that I borrowed big coats to combat. So I was able to get away with some simple laying. Tights were essential for the weekend, as were leggings. And as I wore the Ruffle Dress out and about I was pretty darned pleased the weather was kind. At the conference I layered my good old Crossroads striped top, with an Autograph jacket and a red scarf my Mum bought me back from a trip once}. For the party night I got out my sparkly tunic, leggings and boots. Comfy and party all at once. Can’t dispute that. I planked in it, after all. Ha.

Well this was fun! Now I have more time on my hands, I’ve planned to do more what I wore type posts. I have a few things stored up that I want to show you, and some new stuff on the way. I can’t wait to show you. Hubby has agreed to play photographer so I don’t have to run back and forwards using the self timer.

  1. I love the little jacket thingamahboobie ADORABLE!I pretty much wore the same thing as I wear at home. Cause nothing fits. So I would have a rather boring 'what she wore' section.Unless it was shoes. And your boots are rather freaking awesome.

  2. I see you there all decked out in Autograph!! I've loved those dresses in everyone I've seen them on..except me. Just not right. On you, awesome!Most size 11 target shoes don't fit me but I posted a nude pair on my blog the other day that fit perfectly. They are uber large.Also, thanks for the link to Caitlins blog. She is so adorable, now I can stalk, er read, about her clothes and such:)

  3. Wooty woo – i love " what i wore " posts! They always give me a bit of inspiration and a bit of the " oh, maybe i could pull that off too " kind of vibe…

  4. I spy red shoes.Awesome.

  5. I hear you re: the size 11 shoes. It is such a pain… but there's nothing like the excitement of finding awesome shoes that fit!!

  6. Thanks Kelley, it was worth every cent!Sarah, in my town there is a pretty limited choice of plus size clothes. They had A LOT of great stuff just when I was looking. Perfect. Thanks River. Super practical. Amy. i'm glad you like them. I'm finding it is actually a good way to keep me on track weight loss wise, taking outfit pics. Email me if you have outfits questions, I might be able to do that in particular. Cate, I knooooow, right!? Spotted them and had to make them mine!Robyn, I have come across about 5 women with size 11 feet. It's something that I think needs to be measured. Current sizing etc. WOW. This was a whole other post! HA. Thanks for commenting. xo
