The morning came rather quickly. The alarm blaring around 7am. My roomies and I got out of bed one after another after another. Rhi was through the shower first, then me and finally followed by Caitlin. Rhi dashed off the be assistant extraordinaire to Ms Dani as she happy snapped bloggers on their way in the door. I had a moment of Melbourne hating my hair again. But settled for sweeping my fringe to the side, bundling the rest in a ball and getting dressed anyway.
Soo Cait and I were on our way to the venue. Wandering some beautiful spots on our way. We started to push it, time wise so we didn’t even grab breakfast. Fail. I was starving by morning tea and ate the cupcakes everyone was whinging about. Well the top of it anyway. Love the super sweet icing. And LOVED Anzac biscuits. Coffee was my bestie all day.
If you want a wrap up of the ACTUAL conference stuff there are million out there. My favourite part was twitter. I laughed so much at the tweets coming through. Sent about a million myself {well, 1,000 actually, prior to going to NNB2011 I had JUST hit the 5,000 mark. I came home well over 6,000!}. I got to meet some bloggers I knew. Laughed at the hungover ones. Tweeted some others I’d hoped to meet. And whoooped loudly when my girl Danimezza took the stage. I couldn’t have been prouder, seriously.
We had hot dogs for lunch. YUM. Thanks to our tour guides. And attempted to get cupcakes but the line was ridiculous. That would have to wait until Sunday. Apparently. Melbourne kept the weather reasonable which Queensland’er like me appreciated big time. Lunchtime was also pretty much the last time I saw Sheri in Melbourne. She dropped off the blogger radar and into Melbourne life. I think we were lucky to get her back, to be honest.
All in all, I loved the whole day. It was so much fun and by the time we went back to our motel to shower and changed for dinner and post conference drinks I was exhausted. My roomies will tell you. My sense of humour had left the building. Well, the graffiti lane anyway. Haha. More photos below. And more details of the post party at a later date! That’s the juicy bit, gossip people. it’s going to be a guess who type thing. Be afraid attendee’s, be VERY afraid.
