Staring. Snoring. And something new.

Do you know how many times today (before work, in breaks, after work and now) that I have open this browser and stared at it. Stared at the space to write everything and anything. Staring at my little place in the world which is expanding and growing and yet remains uniquely mine. I am so proud of this place. It’s me, it’s mine, it’s like a home away from home. It smine, all mine. I made it. I’ve loved it. And now it has grown legs and is taking steps out on it’s own (Don’t worry, I too am gagging at the cheesiness of this paragraph!)
But it gets to me, in a good way, it touches me.
And something else that gets to me but in a bad way, is Hubby’s recently worsening snoring habit. As I lie in bed, tap, tap tapping on the iPad his congested breathing is bordering on noise pollution. A beautiful blank page ruined but the rhythmic and infuriating noise. And simple snoring I can, almost, handle, but this snotty, sickly versions both nerve jangling and frustrating.
It gets to me, in a bad way, it pushed me over the edge.
There are new challenges around the corner for me, I can feel them, there is a wave of momentum gathering. Towards Italy, towards doing something crazy, towards things we never imagined. I feel it. Do you ever get that? Sometimes I am mistaken and what it actually is, is a change in the weather, but not this time. I know this is different.
And IT gets to me, in a good way, enlivening me, exciting me and making itself into a reality just because I am looking so darn hard to find it. And I love that.
Chills. Exciting.

    I have only just discovered your blog but am loving it! You write so well and I can't help but feel drawn to you.And yes, I too get the feeling that change is just around the corner. I don't always know what it is, or whether its going to be good or bad, but I brace myself for it and usually get a nice surprise when it eventuates – like a promotion at work, finding the house that we have now bought, hubby getting a new car for an awesome bargain – trivial in the scheme of things, but great nonetheless. :)

    I love that excited feeling of coming change. Cling on to it!Husband snoring I know about as well. Not as excited about that one though. It's not even loud but just vibrates slightly through his lips. I want to cut those lips off in the middle of the night!

    Is it something with the weather? My husband's snoring has gotten 100% worse in the last few weeks….it's keeping me awake at night. If you find a solution, do share please! :)

    Send huby to the doctor for a check, it's possible something as simple as a sinus cleaning could be the solution. I'm happy that you have big things to look forward to. Tuscany!!
