Don’t get me wrong. I do enjoy the wonderful things that the city has to offer. But I know, I am a country mouse. Which are you?

My husband & i are both born & bred Sydney city children, BUT since our first date we were talking about moving to the country to raise a large family (i know, first date, i was a teenager but seriously, we even picked a child's name out & he was SO NOT the settling down type at the time, ah, right woman i say!!) Anyway, it might take 20 years from that conversation to actually finishing our homestead on the 100 acres we've chosen outside Canberra (we've lived all over Australia & have settled on the ACT) but we'll have done it, completely sustainably too, only with the benefit of city private schools only 60km away. Now that my friend is having it all, including the same husband & set of 4 children. Love Posie

I am a country mouse. I live in the Canberra-ville Burbs (which is kinda like a big country town) but I am only 50 minutes from my folks farm where I get to BREAHTHE!!! They are thinking of selling. I may have to invest in a bit of farmland of my own …

I'm a city mouse. While I appreciate the country after a weekend I'm itching to get back to the city. Although I loved living in the NT and want to go back very soon!

I'm a country mouse living in an inner city suburb.I yearn for open spaces and no constant traffic noise. I'm on a main road and huge semitrailers go along it about 20 hours a day in both directions.

I always said I would never live in a town that had traffic lights. Then my small home town got one set so I moved to a smaller town (the type with 5 shops and you have to pick up you mail, no delivery). Then I met my partner and ended up moving to Melbourne, I've been here about 5 years but I'd still love to move back to the country one day.

I'm a country mouse – i always wanted to be a city mouse, and i loved my time living in the vicinity of a city… but i like having the opportunity to get a house with a big backyard, a local school where all the kids in the grade know each other, where Flynns grandparents are only 5 minutes away, and where i am only ever 15 mins ( at the most ) away from everything else in town…

I grew up in the country until my parents moved us to the suburbs when I was 10. I dream of being able to pack everything up and live in the country again – but my husband doesn't share the same dream so I am still stuck in the subrurbs xo

I think I'm a country mouse too.
