So you are going to a Blog Meet…

I consider myself a bit of an expert on this one. Having first hosted then attended about fifty million since. Each is different. The people {sometimes} are different, the venue, the dress code. All a minefield of possible options, arrival methods, after party strategies etc etc. Well. sort of. That’s the way it seems in your head during the lead up. But really, it’s not like that. Here are the basics, according to me.
Dress in something you’re comfortable in. Sure flash your personal style but don’t wear anything restrictive or annoying. Heels may also be out if you are meeting a bunch of shorties. Like Dani and Zoe
*
Take some cash. Eftpos may not always be an option.
*
Brush up on who is coming so you can recognise them. And if you don’t, ask them straight away, who they are and what their blog is called. Waiting to ask will make it awkward.
*
Be yourself. These people know you pretty well already.
*
Circulate. Meet as many people as you can.
*
Take your camera, phone or whatever and use them. AND most Hello Blogger Events have a photographer who donates their time to grab some candid pics. These are great.

Oh. AND. Some times there are goodie bags. Sqeeeeee. Be grateful for what you receive, plug the companies that donate so they will again, of course and don’t sneak too many peek, you’ll look desperate! HA. I should know.

  5. Unfortunately, when you live 5 hrs inland from the closest major cities, blog meets are kind of a little out of your reach. Which is a pity, because i'd love to attend one one day!

  8. Given it looks like I'll be attending my first this Sunday this was helpful :)Is there always a sign? Cos I was worried about showing up and not knowing anyone and wandering around like an idiot asking random people if they were here for the blogger meet haha
