Check me out

Dinner by Amanda Claire ~ Thank you sissie
It has been many, many weeks since I last updated you all and linked up. So long in fact I had no idea it was ending. Finished. Done. Over. But even during the slack ass month’s I shared with you my falling off the wagon’ness and my Zumba bad’ness. And I was working hard at the gym with no positive results. That could be seen. That is. Great general fitness improvements… Blah, blah, blah.
But what I didn’t tell you, is that at one stage I weighed almost 7kg heavier than my heaviest EVER. I literally went home and cried that day. There was a bit of hormonal bloating going on, but STILL!! It said it. That makes it real. And I sooked and cried and whinged.
And then I got real and got to the doctors. Had a full ‘weight loss’ physical {cause we ALL know I’ve been for plenty of lady type ones…}. More blood tests, a heart rate monitor for a week, weigh, measure, all that jazz. And we formulated a plan. This was just over 6 weeks ago.
And since then, well, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I injured my back {again!! Sitting on your butt all day has it’s perils let me tell ya} so had been skipping the gym in favour of light walks and incidental type exercise. Even with this little set back I have lost 10.5kg! Woot. I cannot wait to go back to the gym and give the Couch to 5km program another go.
I am feeling good. Plenty more to come off where that came from. But I don’t care. It feels like progress. One double chin at a time…

How are you travelling?
Did Easter kick your butt? Or did you fare ok?

I am linking up to Fat to Fit’s newer and hotter cousin Drab to FAB {same host people I would never ditch my first blog love, the divine Miss Lucy}. For all the goss, head over and read the inaugural post. My wrap up of it, is that it is about taking any part of your life from drab to fab. But for me, this week, all I wanted to do was talk about me. So I did. ;)

  10. Thank you. I am super proud!! I have been partying a bit much lately so when that stops I expect it to shift to the next level again. Working hard. Kicking this things ass once and for all. Your support has, as always, been amazing!!

  11. Easter was a test of my will to say no to chocolate! But I prevailed fairly successfully. It's great hearing that you've been able to get back on it, because fitness and weight loss are some of the hardest things. What's your goal?Ava
