My sister and I ~ March 2009 ~ My Birthday! Yes I know it blurry, I’m not drunk NOW. :oP |
I started this day ready to leave the funk of the past few days behind me. Ready to get into it. And by 9am it was stinking hot. I went outside to meet an owner onsite and had those tiny beads of sweat rolling down my spine within 5 minutes. Autumn, my butt. Not that i mind the heat, but usually, when it’s really hot like that I would rather be at the beach, or by the pool or generally up to my chin in cool water. And I very much, wasn’t.
And did you know Friday last week a pipe in our laundry burst and flooded our back four bedrooms including the room the we had five years of two businesses worth of papers and the office! Sigh. The weekend was spent with Hubby resetting the power circuit after the massive air blowers and dehumidifiers were run around the clock. My flood ravaged neighbours will hear me loud and clear when I say OH MY GOODNESS that is annoying. All is dry and now we sort out the insurance with an excess of $600. Bum.
The gym has been going well and it turns out that my gym scales just hate me. I weigh 10kg heavier on them than at my new Doctors office {did I tell you this already!?}. But then when I told the gym this, they weighed me and I was 4.5kg heavier than the 10kg different from 4 days prior. And today, two days later I was 5kg lighter than that. Keeping up!? No, me either!!! I’m just going to be weighed at my doc’s from now on, it’s easier on the old ego.
Hubby is good. Monday night when I arrived home from the Sunshine Coast at about 11.30pm, the night was still and hot. I walked into a sub zero bedroom with my Hubby snuggled tight in some warm bedding mumbling to himself in his sleep. I couldn’t help myself. I just had to ruffle his hair. He looked so freakin’ adorable. Don’t tell him I said that, most the time he has his mouth thrown open snoring or is swearing like a trouper in his sleep. Him being adorable, trust me. Is. The. Exception. Not. The. Rule.
And I thought of something really funny to write about today I drove around. I laughed out loud thinking about it. And now, no matter how hard I try. Or how hard I pretend not to try, I cannot think of it. It is, evidently, waiting for another day. But coming up this week is my review of Cellnique skin care product I was sent to review. Being a soap and water girl this has been an experience. To say the least. Habit forming though and doing wonders for this former beach girls tired old, soon to be 28 year old skin. Ha.
