Meet the newest member of the family

This not so little beauty joined the family in December. I have been for two walks and Hubby has taken one extreme run attempting to stay on for as long as possible at 18km per hour. I braced myself for someone crashing through the wall. It didn’t happen. And the experiment didn’t last long. Apparently unless you build up to it 18km per hour is fast. Especially on an incline.
T the treadie and I have a date tonight. Another first step towards what I am determined to achieve. Without much enthusiasm still. Without inspiration. But because I said I would do it it. And I am someone who keeps their promises.
And I am ok. I’m going to make some calls on Monday. Thank you for your kind words.

  1. This looks serious!Cpt. V has finally got me into our home gym doing some light circuit work this week and the bit I love most is the bike.Stupidly I 'thought out loud' that it would be great if I could make a little bench across the handle bars so that I could pop my laptop on and blog as I rode…..crickets!Perhaps you could apply this idea to your treadmill though – I could imagine it would be a terrific incentive – I think it's called blogercizing!x Felicity

  2. A treadie! I'm envious. I've thought about getting one, even researched some prices. Turns out I can't afford even a second-hand one.

  3. oh I so want one. Have you tried the couch to 5k programme before? http://www.c25k.com/ They have a great programme for the treadmill to keep you on track. I would do it… if I had a treadmill.

  4. You can do it! (And I'm loving the extra large cup holders for your iPod!) xx

  5. I love my treadie!!! With all the rain and kids and every other excuse I can come up with, the treadie always wins. It's in my shed so I can have a sweat without much effort, and I can plug in the monitor when the kiddies are asleep and run run run. It's always a bit of a problem when your still running and the baby wakes up as you know your gonna be sweaty and stinky till hubby gets home, but it feels so great to have done something instead of stare at the computer while kids are asleep. Enjoy!!Ness
