Next time I get married…

I’m wearing this…

And my bridesmaids are wearing that.
And it will small and intimate and fun. To be completely honest I didn’t have much fun at all at our wedding. It was beautiful, and I felt the love and support of my family and friends, all fifty million of them. But when I think of it now, I think I’d do it different. No care for any supposed traditions or rules or whatever. It would be all about me, what I liked. And hubby and what he likes. Nothing more. Nothing less.
And nobody start freaking out. I’d totally pick Hubby again. Over and over again. Every time I would pick him. Except that time he drove me completely bonkers because he lost his license and I had to drive him everywhere. But you know, mostly always.
Are you married? What would you do different? Wanting to be married, tell me your dream wedding. Or leave me a link and show me. Ok!? Ok.
Happy Saturday!

  1. Very nice and stylish. Love the brides dress. Me, if I did it again I'd spend more money on photos and have the garden party I really wanted the first time. Unfortunatly it was windy so it didn't go ahead as planned.

  2. You have such wonderful taste Mel. I could picture myself in your bridesmaid dress with those accessories, so if you need another….just sayin lol!:]

  3. haha I'm doing "bride" in polly dolly in Jan. Love the set, so gorgeous.

  4. I'm not sure I'd do much differently myself, except I'd pay more attention to what was happening around me, and spend more time hanging out with my friends who were there!

  5. I'd have a dress, a proper dress and flowers and photographs….it would be a day of nice memories….Oh how nice that would be and completely opposite of our first wedding day…Love your picks!~x~

  6. This has prompted all sorts of responses from me!!!!….I know that when the blessed day bloody arrives I'm going to be wearing an epic get-up and keep the rest of it as small and private as possible… I just want my family and friends to have a relaxed and happy time. I know that it will be hilarious and wonderful and a proper knees-up, as that's the way we roll.xoxoxoxo

  7. Ha! Was just talking about this today believe it or not! We have decided (read as I have decided) for our 10 year anniversary I want the big white wedding with all the trimmings, a stack of people, you know spend a stack of money on one day that kinda thing. We did low key the first time and I'd really like to have the big deal and a hens night! I love that brides dress, its gorgeous!

  8. You inspired me to write a post :)I LOVE this set – it's so simple, effective, elegant and could be at any setting.

  9. In my wedding we had no dancing. What the heck was I thinking?! I mean, I hate to brag but I am a kick butt dancer! I love it. I'd definitely change that.

  10. hmmmm. I wouldn't change the wedding itself, but I would make the reception last for at least three days! Spending time with all of the friends that came to bless us was what I missed the most. We rushed everything too much! Thanks for asking! :)

  11. What a lovely post! I love planning weddings, and you're right, its not about the traditional white dress and church and millions of family, but about love~ I love the colors you have chosen. And that would be a bridesmaid dress I think everyone would be proud to wear! No poofy pink thing. Ahaha~!
