The other day as I started to tell another personal blogger how to live her life {sigh. yes, I really did that. And via twitter of course} I was thinking how funny it is to open your world as a personal blogger. To share yourself and your experiences. To discuss issues and request solutions to your biggest {and often most private} problems. To offer the world your joy. To share with them your losses and grief. It is a strange monster this personal blogging thing.
And when I started I had no plans to get personal. At first I even used a stock image for my profile pic. There was going to be no me here. Just quotes, images and pretty things. And then I started writing a caption or two. Introduced Hubby and Miss Y {our exchange student at the time}. And it grew. The desire to share myself. To write it out and express myself.
And great stuff happened. And I grieved. And then I loved some more. I laughed. I cried a little. I hoped and prayed and begged. I raged and stomped. And along the way I poured it onto the page. And your response was always love and support {except that troll that one time}. People got what I was saying. They shared themselves. They told me their story and invited me to join them at their blogs. And I did.
And I couldn’t help it tonight, as I cap off the 40 days of gratitude {over a few more days than that} being really present to how grateful I am that you read this. That your share yourself. That you comment and offer advice and support and love. I’m pretty darned lucky.
So yes, gushy thank you post, over and out.
