She wore WHAT!? {Black Corporate Dress}

Dress – MODA Target – 2009
Shoes – Target – 2009
I have this dress. It is black. About knee length, sleeveless and it has cute gathered scoop neckline. I wear it often. It is comfortable and kinda stretchy and an appropriate length. And extremely versatile. So I thought that I would show you just how versatile. So here we go. My black dress, five ways. Including the first, which is simple with black waterfall cardy. {Note – The photos are taken at night and therefore some detail disappeared}
Blue Cardy – Target – 2009
Black & Colored Striped Scarf – Silk – South Africa – 2005
Stretch bootleg pants – Autograph – 2010
Black satin peep toe heels – Big W – 2010
Black 3 Button Jacket – Autograph – 2008
Blue Silk scarf – Gift from Ri @ The Last Doll Standing – 2010
Black satin peep toes heels – Big W – 2010
Striped Cardy – Autograph – 2010 (SALE item)
Grey suede heels – Target – 2007
Custom necklace – Wendy B Designs – 2006
White collared shirt – The uniform shop – 2008
Black satin peep toe heels – Big W – 2010
Red coral custom necklace – Wendy B Designs – 2005
So there you go. Some of the ways I wear this simple black dress to boost my work wardrobe. Whatever the weather. I did have patterned tights to wear too. But geez, it is so freaking hot here at the moment. Would it storm already. So there you go. I am hoping that it may just help you look at that dress in your wardrobe a little differently.
So tell me. Do you have one item that you just wear and wear and wear?

  2. Go you GOOD THING!!! xoxo

  3. I need a dress like that – that's great! What do I have? I have a new pair of Lee Slim Stretch jeans that are fantastic in a dark wash that goes many different ways.

  4. I like it. My fav is the blue cardy look. It reminds of this article I read in the UK Mail about this woman who wore the same dress for a year and how she dressed it up to make it look different. It just shows that you don't have to have a big wardrobe to extend your look just the right kind of accessories for every occasion. I'm a jeans kind of person myself. Have to run around after Jacob but still can make it smart casual but it's a killer in the humid heat.

  5. Your husband only gets one photo? It's alright, at least he's drinking beer in it.

  6. Great dress. I especially love it over the collared shirt. I have always loved that look. Kind of sophisticated but kind of school girl…Your blog is very funny. I like it.

  7. Love the pic of the beer…oh with your hubby. I love that black dress,you have made so many outfits out of the one thing……very clever and versatile. Now that I have complimented you, would you mind lovely, voting for me here. On page 2 under Farmers Wifey…I'd be so grateful..xxhttp://www.babble.com/babble-50/mommy-bloggers/nominate-a-blogger/

  8. One dress, 365 different looks.Accesorise, accesorise, accesorise.The LBD is probably the most versatile item ever.

  9. *headsmack* Accessorise has a double "s"…

  10. My favourite is the third one. :-)And I have nothing awesome enough to wear over and over… except maybe my black skinny jeans…

  11. I actually like the first picture without anything and the one with the blue scarf.I wear the crap out of my high waisted dark wash witchery jeans. Love them.

  12. I read this when you posted it but forgot to come back and comment, don't hate me :) Love this post so much, you look fantastic.
