Tonight my OctSOBER promise and I attended the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. Free wine people, free wine! Hubby opted to stay home, so it was a good thing that I wasn’t drinking. Bonus money saver. No cab fare home. And no annoying car shuffle tomorrow morning. My workplace was up for Business of the Year. A big deal for us since we only opened just over 2 years ago.
Anyway, while getting dressed I found that I had time on my hands. Plenty. I started too soon and my dress was still in the dryer. Given the theme of the day was photos. I decided to take some of me. My sis gave me a Napoleon foundation stick and I am a wee bit in love with it. So in a self portrait styled after the best of the 52 week challengers, I found a mirror and started snapping.
The outcome is above in a collage. Obviously.
But man. That is harder than it looks. And someone should have told me that I need to have a CLEAN mirror. But seriously, doesn’t my skin and eyes look clear thanks to all this behaving myself. This healthy lifestyle bizo might just appeal to my vain side. Feeling goooood. So yes. Anyway.
We won Business of the Year. YAY. And my bosses are very pleased with yours truly who completed the submission documents. I am very pleased that I was able to corner the general manager of the local paper and set up a meeting to talk sponsorship for the Aussie Bloggers Conference. He’s very interested as they are looking more and more towards online methods. I said that he needed to talk to me. I’d hook him up. Ha! Really. I did. He seemed pleased with that.
