Stealing Her Clothes!

Now I know they deliberately chose some of her best looks but seriously, aren’t these selections just magnificent. I would and possibly could wear each and every one of them. And I just adore both of the blue dresses. What a stylish young lady (I assume at least some of it is her own choices etc), what confidence, what colourful joyfulness!
When I look back over my fashion selections I often cringe. I cannot imagine being young and on the red carpet having those decisions paraded in front of the worlds media. In fact, once when I was about 9 or 10 I used my  pocket money to buy some brightly coloured t-shirts from a local market. I adored them. Thought they were the greatest things ever. My Mum would cringe every time I wore them with the word BONK emblazoned boldly across the front. Oh the shame. Gosh I was sheltered.

Surprisingly that was not even my worst clothes decision. I once wore culottes. With a tucked in shirt. Oh gosh. Remind me to have a chat with my mother about what the hell she was thinking. I had a number of shirts with Australis across the front. And my wardrobe was almost entirely made up of over sized t-shirts until I was 13 years old.

In my teens I switched to more of a sporty and cargos look. Adidas, Nike and others were my friends. I did however own a couple of pairs of linen shorts. Oh gosh. Later the brand name surf clothes became a staple. And I finally thought this was my opportunity to shine, fashion wise. Unfortunately Anne, who did our ironing, used to get some kind of sick pleasure ironing the prints on these shirts smudging them all over the place. It was never proven but I have always said it was a deliberate statement against what our mother would pay for a t-shirt.

Later I would settle into my style a little more, but not without a number of years of trying and searching and trying. But I guess that’s just the way it goes. The same thing happened with my hair. Changes and changes and changes. Though with my hair, I never did settle on one thing.

What’s your worst clothing choice? And who’s wardrobe would you adore as your own? By the way, this pic was pinched from fat girls like nice clothes too. Oh, and can you tell the clothing gods to ship me out Amber’s beauties plus the casual equivilent. Put in a good word for me, would you!
