Being brave… well a little bit.

Ok, I’m doing it. I’m sending off the emails. And I found another publication that is about women in my local area. So I’m sending an email off to them too. Actually. Maybe they could be visiting here now. To check me out. Or any time soon. Oh gosh. Everyone, be on your best behaviour. Otherwise who knows what they’ll think of me, you, us! Argh. Just kidding. Do your thing. They’ll love you.
Woah, slow down there Missy. There I go, blurting it all out before I even told you what I was going on about. Well you know how I mentioned that I wanted to get some articles/posts sent off to a local publication that was sorta interested but I hadn’t. Well I sent a contact email to them requesting a meeting to discuss my stuff and the possibility of them publishing it.
After speaking to my super talented friend Jojo a while back she suggested getting a portfolio of my best posts together. So now I need your help. I haven’t even short listed any. But do you have a favourite that comes to mind? Something that you have read and liked for whatever reason. I’d love to know your favourite.
So indulge me. and help a women out.

  1. This one had me cracking up, but I am not sure you should send it to a potential employer:http://sugercoatit.blogspot.com/2010/05/seriously-i-shouldnt-say-anything-but-i.html

  2. You have to gear it to what they publish/want.If it is on women's issues, then pick any topical posts on same, and so on.It is not how you write (though that is still important) but WHAT you write about in most cases.Cheers, and good vibey luck sent cybernetically from me to you… Did that make any sense?

  3. A good point MM. Thanks. I'll have to tailor a pack for each publication.Ahhh the time wasting one. Totally relate'able. Might have to squeeze it in. In the back! lol.
