I just know that I will be preaching to the choir of mothers and fathers who read this blog. I can almost hear you chorus your agreement that yes, you too would like some alone time. Some time to relax. To think. To plan. To ponder. To do nothing. Or hell, you may be one of those people that have already figured this stuff out and have it scheduled. I used to be one of those people.
Show Offs.
Now however, life as I knew it has changed. My Hubby has finished at his driving job and is working to build his home based business. The good news is that he is now home every night of the week. He used to be away or asleep to start bat midnight at least 5 days out of 7. The bad news is? He’s home 7 days and nights a week. And I, I am prone to needing some time out from people in general. I blame my industry. People just drive me batty sometimes. Even people whom I love and adore and want to make babies with people.
And so make some time I hear you say. Put it in your diary. Mark out an afternoon. An evening or a morning if need be. I will, I will. But how do I stop the phone from ringing. The emails from coming. Maybe I need one of those zen looking tents pictured above. Maybe. But doesn’t the idea of a blissful weekend just of you related stuff sound wonderful? Hot bath. Good book. Lay in the sun on a cool winter morning. Hot coffee. Warm scones. Mmmmm…
So what are you plans this weekend? I know, it’s Thursday. I should stop daydreaming about weekends and get back to work. But really. Since my actual weekend will incorporate a baby shower, a 30th, and a poker night. I was kind of enjoying planning my blissful, people free weekend.
