I am in the "please-post-an-armed-guard-at-the-express-lane-who-will-count-items-and-drag-offenders-away-to-be-locked-in-stocks-Rotten-tomatoes-WILL-be-provided" camp, myself.

I get snarky at people who clearly abuse the express lanes. I never actually say anything to them, but I huff and puff to myself about it.

ROFLMAO! I am on the side that as long as you can fit in a basket you are good to go! If you have a trolley even if it has less than 12 items in it is a no go!

Oh I hate that when you get pushy people who can't count!!! We have an express lane in one of our supermarkets here and they purposely move the lolly rack closer to the lane to narrow it so that trolleys can't go through it.And I can't stand it when people push in front of small children who are also lining up to buy stuff. My son got pushed to the side by an older woman when he was buying an ice block… really no manners.

12 items!! unless it's fruit in a bag- that all counts as one- or tins of baby food. Five of those count as one.Official check out chick rules, OK?

I am the "plan the shopping around the quiet times" type. NO CHEATERING! 12 Items or LESS!And if I have my whole entire weeks worth overflowing from my trolley and you only have a packet of tea? Go ahead of me.I am no cheaterer.I am a shopping mug, evidently!

With 3 kids, I almost NEVER even think about the Express Lane. I did once attempt to get a trolley into the Express Lane, though. I had 4 x 2L milk bottles, and 1 x 12kg bag of dog food. Bugger trying to carry that in a basket.I do like watching 20 people queued with their baskets in the Express Lane, while the regular checkouts have only 1 person (with trolley) in progress. Express isn't as express at lunchtime.

I noticed when i went to the supermarket yesterday that there was no expresslane either, instead there was a wheelchair access lane and 3 lanes that had carry bags signs ?? So I opted to wait in line at the trolley lane as I had a few things(including 24 diet coke)in a trolley.there was only one person ahead of me so I wasn't complaining, then a sales chick came over to me pointed to the basket lane and said over there , u can go in THAT lane. I said no I 'm ok I ll wait, thinking that someone is bound to come up behind me with a basket and wonder what the hell I am doing there. She was very insistant in giving me directions so to avoid confrontation with the chick I moved over to the basket aisle. THEN….. guess what? there was a rush of 3 baskets behind me and I felt like real idiot!!

12 items or less definently! One time I was at k-market and the checkout person actually said it to them. And the person was like "doesn't all the confectionary just count as one item" and "no…you can have more then one of the same item and it just counts as one item!" …i was like "wah"

I would never go to that store again! It should be 10 items or less! Maybe 15 at most….

I got through the express lane with a trolley (only if there are less than 12 items) because I can't fit my 2 year old in a basket. :)
