Soooo. We had a tenant move out of a property this week. The house was immaculate. It was a lovely, not a single item to report bond clean. Spotless. Done. I was already nodding and smiling to myself at just how simple it had all been. Or so I thought.
The owner came in today. She mentioned that once she was at the property for repairs. And she saw that the tenant had accessed the shed. The shed that was not on the lease. The shed that held her furniture and left over pots and pans. The tenant was now using them for the house. Rude. The owner, being the lovely lady that she is – too nice sometimes if you ask me… obviously! – through clenched teeth said that the tenant could continue to use them.
Okay, I thought, why is she telling me this. Dawning realisation… Uh Ohhh. I bet there’s no furniture at the property. Oh dear.
Sinking Feeling.
She’s taken it, hasn’t she. I said.
It looks that way. Said the owner.
Oh dear.
So can you believe that. The nerve of some people. The absolute disregard for other people’s belongings, for privacy, for gosh sake! Now I don’t know about you but I would remember not buying an entire house of furniture and therefore not remove it from the property. The mind boggles. Really, it does.
