This past week we saw some of the biggest and brightest, as well as the newest brands, hit the runway to show off their wares. And boy team, there is some exciting stuff coming! I don’t believe a word of it when they say that Australia follows the trends, we lead. First into spring/summer 2016, we are leading the way for the rest of the world. That’s what I think!
Leading the way.
Leading the way with cool and unique styles. Fresh ideas and the fun use of fabric and colours to express this youthful culture of ours. It’s anything from a chic set of handmade lingerie to street-style you can wear every day. I was so proud of every single designer that sent their clothing down the runway for all they do for plus fashion here. We salute you, team.
And now, check out the brands with items for sale now. So get out there, add a new favourite or two to your shopping list and support some awesome Australian (and a few New Zealanders too) brands so they can keep doing what they are doing. Hi! I’m Melissa Walker Horn. Around here, they call me Suger. I’m the Chief Blogger and doer of all the things here at Suger Coat It. Blogging since 1901; I love a casual ootd, taking photos, and writing about things that irk or inspire me. I love wine and cheese, long days at the beach and spending time with my family. I make stuff for the internet over at Chalkboard Digital. You know, living the sweet life.
I think we lead too. I mean, what people wear here in S/S, they wear the next year, right? I remember when I moved here, which was February, the “ugly” chunky sandals were already all the rage, then I started seeing them on US blogs come April!
Totally agree. Leading the way. And with great power, comes great responsibility… Like ending the chunky sandals thing. Hahaha. Jokes, I don’t mind them, comfy and VERY 90’s. What’s not to love.
