Today started out somewhat normally. Except that Hubby and I were both awake and bored by 8am. It was Saturday after all. A lazy Saturday, a first for us for a little while. The decision was made and soon we were heading to the shops {a mistake at Christmas time but never mind} for some breakfast.
And most importantly for me, a decent decaf coffee.
We grabbed our food and coffee’s and set up camp at a table with magazines and our iPhones {Hubby has taken possession of the old one}. I got a great idea for dinner from an old issue of House and Garden. I flicked through pages admiring the stunning homes. Soon I was bored and went on facebook.
Breakie with Hubby this morning. Best morning in a while I posted to the Suger Coat It facebook wall. Flicked through a few things and resume whinging about being bored so Hubby would talk to me. His articles were apparently more interesting than mine. Either that or he takes longer to read them.
We shopped a little, came home and I cooked up a storm, rearrange my kitchen cupboards, made Hubby install some things I bought at Ikea last trip and found a home for all the appliances that live on our bench. Phew. Settling down with a soda water I checked facebook. Turns out I posted THIS to the blog facebook page…
Break up with Hubby this morning. Best morning in a while.
Holy shit! Awkward. Thinking no one saw it {except the few people who acknowledged it with a thumbs up} I pulled it down and posted about my autocorrect moment and switched to twitter for a while. When I can back there were plenty of comments saying that they saw that, didn’t know what to say etc etc. Shoot. Not as low key as I’d hoped it would be.
I checked emails, got THE most adorable photo of Arleigh and Hubby off my camera {she couldn’t resist his spiky head, rubbed her hands over it all day yesterday} and refilled the soda water. This time adding a dash of vodka, mint and lime.
And then, the neighbours son threw a ball in our yard followed closely by their dog getting shocked by our electric fence. And all this by 5pm. It does make me wonder what the night will hold….
Happy Saturday.
