Small Things.

My Hubby is the king of small things. Small gestures. It is one of my favourite things about him. Something I credit the ease of our relationship with. Something that makes me smile. Most of the time. Being the kind of the small things, he’s a master of the small annoying things too. Just, FYI. 
But mostly, it’s good. Like a bunch of flowers from a neighbours garden. With permission, of course. A text to tell me he saw something cool. Breakfast when I’m hungover. Playing with the dog when he knows that no one has because he doesn’t want her to be sad. A simple reminder that I need to calm down and just go with the flow more. 
Hubby and his small gestures and actions balance me out. Lift me up. And today, I am grateful for him.

    I like when my husband leaves me messages at work, "meow"ing songs. I'm probably the only one you've ever met who has "Iron Man" meowed to her…Pearl

    That's a beautiful post.I love it how my husband is always asking if I am okay and can he do anything for me. Alright, sometimes it's annoying that he just doesn't 'do things' without prompting, but it's the thought that counts. Right?

    My husband makes us stovetop coffee every day, he knows which mugs I like. He pours my cereal for me and they are both ready when I get up. He has no idea how influential in our longevity this 'small thing' is. ;)

    Sometimes I feel bad for my hubby because I'm very thoughtful and all about 'the little things' and he's really not, so whenever he does make a thoughtful gesture it's kind of like, 'This is the best you could do?' Poor boy… perhaps his most thoughtful gesture is putting up with me!

    My favourite small thing is the I love you text message that I get randomly when we aren't together. And when I am getting cranky at something he is saying he goes I'm just sayin' and it makes me laugh every time.
