The Lucky Ones

There is lots that could be said about my Family. Good, bad and in the middle. I’ve said them all myself before. But mostly they are good, brave, kind, generous and fun. And above all other things, they are loyal. I love loyal, don’t you? It’s one of my favourite things!
Some of us are lucky to have family that we love. Who love us the way we like to be loved. Family who bring us up when we need to be lifted. And down when our head gets too big. My family are the best. I am grateful every day that we got plonked together in this life. 
To my brother, today (but always), I love you. You are so brave and one of the best men I have ever known. I am proud, every single day, to call you my brother. What you will give to Dale and Ash’s entire family today is something they will never forget. For some it would be extraordinary. For you, it simply shows them who you are. 

I love you. Be brave. Be awesome.

    A guy I went to school with and was friends with when we were younger died in the NATO chopper crash last year. It was incredibly sad and my heart break for his family and loved ones. It's such a tragedy to lose someone so young in what seems like such a horrible and pointless manner. I'll be thinking of your brother tomorrow. RIP Ashley.
