I have some news…

Our trip to Italy is off. Postponed at this stage. But off as far as November through January is concerned. The short version of this sad tale is that Sam & Lisa‘s house in Brighton, Queensland has not sold {buy it people!!} so they can’t leave to begin work on their Italian home. Even if they DID sell their house in the next month, by the time it settled it would be deep into Winter and not worth the trip. 
Sigh. 
NOW do you get why I’ve been such a sook in the last week? I’m sad. Really sad. And not just for me. But for Sam and Lisa who’s plans to move are on hold, yet again. I’m sad that even when I go it won’t be a white Christmas {luckily Hubby and I experienced this in New York & Canada about 6 years ago}. I’m sad that I have to stay here and melt and buy Christmas presents! I HATE THAT. 
And I’m about THAT {see photo above} happy about it. 
Better luck next year, right!?

    That is a very sad face, poor sweety :(I know you had this all planned around going to Italy with your friends, but ….could you & Kel just go togethor? The timeing seems perfect for you guys, & you could always go again with Sam & Lisa.How romantic would it be to discover Italy togethor, on your own?xx

    oh that sucks! don't ya hate it when things don't pan out as you'd planned and hoped? you're totally allowed to feel miserable and ripped off about it, you were planning a fantastic overseas Christmas jaunt and now it's not happening – bummed out totally to be expected!go and have yourself a drink gorgeous.~x~

    I'm so disappointed for Sam and Lisa, I've had to wait for a house to sell in the past, (before the bank sold it out from under us), they must be feeling so let down. I'm disappointed for you too, your dreams of Italy have brightened up a few posts and made me dream of Tuscany. Could you go on your own, just you and hubby? I'll light a few candles and say a few wish prayers for Sam and Lisa's house to sell quickly, so thta at least the trip will still happen next year. They want to settle in Italy don't they?

    I'm very sorry for you all that your plans have been delayed.I hope Lisa and Sam can sell their house. It must be awful just waiting for a buyer.

    Awwwww sweet I know how you feel! Gutted is the word I use, I would happily suck donkey balls if we could just get from here to there!!! A friend tells me spirits are watching out for us as parts of Liguria are going through devastating floods with two towns from the Cinque Terre now under mud as high as the first level…roads, trains, electricity, water, all out. The footage coming out of Italy is just heartbreaking and the help from the government won't be like it was here during the floods. I know you longed for a white Christmas, I join you in your depression. I have been blogging about returning to Italy almost a year now and still so many people read along and wish us the best, hard to believe. We will make a Spring trip even more incredible than the winter one!! Keep saving so we can blow some serious money when we get there!! sending love and mutual sad face….lisa xxx
