I know the feeling. I'm incredibly fortunate to have as many dear and close friends as I do. But three of my dearest friends live hours and hours away if not plane flights away. I will have another friend leave shortly to see what the UK might have to offer her. If your relationships are strong with your friends distance will not weary them. As there would be wonderfulness in the move for your friend and you will undoubtedly miss them……new opportunities and friendships await you around the corner, I'm sure. X

I know. It totally sucks. I miss knowing your just a sushi date away from you. This is a phase. This shall pass. Get out there and show them how great you are.

Ergh. This happened to me a few years back, in the time between getting married, and Miss TikiBoo being born (like, a year) I suddenly had no close friends in the same state. 3 went overseas, one to Sydney, and my best friend and I haven't lived in the same city since we were 21.Making new friends is pretty scary for me, but thank goodness we can get to know people online these days rather than omg walk up and start a conversation.

I know what you mean I hate goodbyes one of my bestie lives in Canberra although we catch up on the phone Skype emails facebook and she writes on my blog, it’s just not the same. Put a little card on my blog to thank all my friends in blogland just like you who help fill those moments when we feel a little down or lonely in times like this, hope it cheers you up too. Sending you hugs xoxoAlways Wendy

That was the same way i felt ( in the midst of depression mind you ) when all my friends started leaving for uni, or moving away from home town. That was 10 years ago and i'm only just starting to make new friends through my mothers group… aside from my family and workmates, there have been some lonely times…

Cheer up Charlie! It's sad when friends move away, but think of it this way: at least you have a couch/spare bed to crash on when you go to visit the interesting new place where they live…it's like having a holiday house. Well…almost. But you know :PAlso, you'll be jetting off to Italy soon and you will have an absolutely INCREDIBLE time. And your perspective on the world will grow a little. And when you come back, you will have so many amazing stories to tell that it will be really easy to strike up conversation and make new friends. And you can never have too many friends :)
