Nothing but blue skies…

This Queensland girl is getting a little excited. Coming out of Winter and into the beauty that is Spring {before the stinking hot Summer hits} is one of my favourite times of the year. Around here it is all about blue skies. For as far as the eye can see. Warm days and cooler nights. Dresses without tights. Shoes ditched for flip flops. Ponytails over fringes.

Today as I spent an hour or so in the park with Hayley and the gorgeous Cooper I realised the sun was turning my nose and cheeks pink. And I smiled. The sun was beating down and I was glad I wore a sleeveless cardy rather than the long sleeve one. Things to be grateful for. You know. And it looks like the Hello Owl girls were doing something similar.

Queenslanders out enjoying the sunshine. When the sun begins to shine what is your favourite thing to do? Do you break out the hats and head to the park? Or lay in your backyard and read a good book {pre-dog dreaming here! Our yard is now covered in dog poo}.

  1. Favorite thing to do? Curse the sun loudly, cover up, and hide!I'm a winter girl, myself…

  2. it's going to be 23 here on friday and so we're doing our favourite thing and heading south and we plan on walking this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busselton_Jetty in the sunshine and maybe just maybe rewarding ourselves with an icecream at the end.i'm not a fan of spring because spring = hayfever for us. i wish it didn't because that first flush of warmth after winter is always nice but we can rarely go out to enjoy it because of how badly we suffer from hayfever :-(

  3. Haha Amy. Sorry to hear that. Winter is horrible. :P Nah jokes. It's my fourth favourite season. ;)Rach oooooo sounds lovely. Stupid hay fever, it ruins all the best bits. My brother often gets hay fever. Yes, we laugh at him, but not all the time. Haha.

  4. My favourite thing to do around this time of year is to take walks along the waterfront near my bf's house and have little picnics in the sunshine. We got to take a walk on Monday on my day off which was awesome! No picnic unfortunately but there were ice creams ;)
