Turns out bowls ladies, have this blogging thing all figured out. Silly me. I had no idea. They did however object to the use of old ladies… But heck, mature doesn’t have the same ring to it. Sorry ladies! Forgive me?

Love this post~!
My inlaws were lawn bowlers too. They played in tournaments and had more than a few trophies. They tried to get me interested, but I was only 20 something and really didn't want to play even though they said I had potential.
Your so going to old lady hell : )
Why are you surprised by older people knowing about blogs? Did you think the internet was only invented last week? Ahh the arrogance of youth! If this is too much for you, go find another job!Michelle
Michelle – It worries me that this comment showed up the same day {almost to the hour} as a horrid anonymous comment on my dear friend Naomi's blog. The tone, is aggressive and unwelcome. Say what you need to say, but please do it in a non-confrontational way in the future or it will be removed. Becuase come on, you didn't think that it was funny that the ENTIRE table of 60+ aged women knew what a blog was!? My 21 year old sister didn't know until I had one. Geeez. Tough crowd!
First of all, an apology – I shouldn't have been nasty about you not having a job, I'm sure it isn't your fault!Secondly, I was surprised that you were surprised that over 50's wouldn't know about blogging! The internet has been around since 1972 and blogging isn't a new thing either. It has only gained wider popularity over the years since the likes of Dooce etc started to make a living out of it. Two of my must read blogs are written by people in their 70s and 80s. Their humour and resilience are just some of the characteristics that keep me going back to read. As for Naomi's blog, don't know who that is and I am not afraid to leave my name on my comments! They are comments I'd make to you in person so why hide behind "Anonymous"? (You are welcome to cross check my IP address if you wish.) Michelle
Hey Michelle, thanks for popping back in again. I appreciate you clarifying and hope that you will continue to visit. Thank you for the apology. But yes, actually, not having a job IS my own fault. I quit it. Haha. I'd love links to those blogs and your IP isn't necessary. I guess I was just on edge a little. It had been a big week for nasty comments. Thanks again. I appreciate that you didn't have to do this! :)
