Bad Call Wifey

Tonight, announced Hubby, I’m taking you out for dinner. WITHOUT your iPhone. Just you and me. Okaaaaaay, I agreed. That’ll be nice. So after an afternoon of bumming around, a movie and a nap we hauled our butts of the sofa and got changed.
I ran into Hubby in the walk in robe. He was pulling a jacket off the shelf. Nah. You won’t need that babe. I said. I’m only wearing this {sweater dress, tights, sleeveless waterfall cardy} so we won’t be able to sit outside anyway. Leave it. Let’s go. You won’t need it, I assured him.
And so, we went. To a newly re-opened restaurant called Raffinati’s. They have pizza bread to die for. Mains that are DELISH. And a dessert menu that had us drooling {not that we could fit any dessert in}. And nope, there are no photos. No iPhone, see. I’ll get you some photos to drool over though, I was talking to the owner about doing their website. Of course. Haha.
We sat and spoke and laughed and it was great. Long awaited. The perfect evening. I loved that we decided to do an evening just him and I. It felt like too long. But time after time I glanced over the table at Hubby. My cutie head Hubby. And he was cold. REALLY COLD. I was too, but he was blocking the majority of the cold air from the still open front doors.
Whoops. Bad call on the jacket there wifey. So there you go. That’s the story of our date night {that as soon as I finish typing this is resuming}. A night that I tortured my Hubby at a romantic dinner for two.
You know, because I can.

  4. Awww, poor hubby! There's a lesson. Next time take the jacket and if he's warm he can hang it on the back of his chair. Nice to have a night out, and without the i-phone too.
