For those of you that checked in earlier today when the Polly Dolly when live would have noticed a wistful line about making the move, about getting on with doing something that I really loved to do. There must of been some special magic in the air this morning because like it or not, today I got what I asked for. Magic. I wish it worked like that every week with Polly Dolly, I’d have the most awesome wardrobe EVER by now.
But instead, this week, I was sacked. Well I quit. I was asked {loudly!} if I wanted my job and I heard myself think, well Melissa, now you choose. And I answered no. No I don’t. And was told to leave. Immediately. And so it was, I was done.
I was leaving a team I worked hard to build, a division I had suffered for to make it as efficient and awesome as it is now. I was leaving a substantial {for this area, definitely} fortnightly payment. I was leaving the safety net of a regular income and a place to go in the morning.
Weird.
In some ways it is still processing. I get angry. I get upset. I worry. I laugh and get excited. This is a shove, a gigantic shove from the universe. Time for me to get back to living the life I want. And it looks like it’s online. So don’t think you’re getting rid of me that easy!
I’m going to look for something online, take on a writing course of two {to improve my grammar, punctuation and spelling} and take some time out. Relax. Chill out. So. Here I am. Like it or not. Ready or not.
