I know exactly what you mean. I have tried almost dieet there is. Andthey all suck. But I have found that the Sure Slim eating plan has really made a difference to the way I look at food. I love my meals and thoroughly enjoy prepping, cooking and eating every single one of them. I still allow myself treats once a week as well. I could never life completely without chocolate, I mean really, who on earth could. I am also an avid baker and every Sunday baking up a storm of goodies for Mr 9s lunch box, Mr 1.5s snacks and dp's munch fests too lol. I love it, the smells the decorating, being able to involve the kids. Growing food is also a biggy for me. Even better being able to get the kids involved in the process of planting, watering, weeding and harvesting. I get so much satisfaction from being able to cook with veges that I have grown. I hope you can find your way back to happiness with food too. I did see an awesome program on tv a while back called Cook your way thin. All about cooking meals that were better for you. So like a lower fat verson of Mac n Cheese etc. It looked awesome, some fantastic tips and recipes. I'm sure you'd be able to find it online somewhere.:)

Is it possible to diet and still admit to loving food? I see this love/hate relationship a ton with dieters.

I think the only way to be happy and healthy is to enjoy food and NOT count everything. If you truelly enjoy it, you won't feel guilty about having one row of chocolate – a guilt which will lead you to eat the rest of the block. If something's not a forbidden food any more, you won't crave it as much.Good luck on your big change!

I have heard that lite and easy is good for these problems, where you over think what you are going to eat, have eaten etc. All you have to do is unpack the boxes, put them in the fridge and eat the one that corresponds with what day and time it is.. That way you can't blame yourself for any decisions to do with food..

For me..Diets just don't work. EVER. If they did I would be skinny. lol I found changing my lifestyle is helping…eating freshier foods, (growing organic everything..Yum!) Also, watching portion size. Alot less packaged foods. Move more, whether it's kicking a ball, walking in the park, riding, gym or whatever..just do it. Anyway, It's working for me. It think it's about making "good" choices.

All the reading and viewing suggestions are so very welcomed and accepted. Thank you! I knew you guys would know. And those that shared a bit of your story. Thank you for that. I love the growing/fresh food thing. I think it could be the focus for me. I love nothing more than a crisp, juicy capsicum freshly picked. Yummo. Watch this space!
