I love meeting people and having a great natter about all sorts of random (and d&m) things – without the need for makeup, hairbrushes, clothes that don't smell of baby poop, and you know, shoes…(hmmm, nice pink socks btw Cate)xxxCate

I think I would like to be a professional blogger although I have no idea what that would entail or whether the content would need to change. And the pressure? But the part I love best. Is looking back through my old posts sometimes. I know with a diary I could do the same but I work at the computer, I upload photos, video. It's just a little bit more. And apparently the 'oosband thinks it's lucky he married a "nerd" now so that he has access to these memories. Not such a time waster after all huh?

I love that what ever is going on in my head chances are there is somebody else out there that is thinking the same thing..feeling the same emotions. Having a bad day, a good day, celebrating someone or something and through blogging were all connected. We all make online friends and sometimes life long friends. It's all about the people near and far.

I like knowing that I took a risk and started doing something for myself, that I get enjoyment out of and that makes me feel good at the end of the day. I also LOVE the interaction between bloggers, and just like you now can't imagine a world without it!

Blabbing about everything that I do and think and people are actually interested enough to read and comment!

I love that blogging is keeping me connected with the outside world. I love being able to communicate without the stress of face to face, blogging gives me time to think before I "say" something.I love how I've learned to do things I never thought I'd do.I love how blogging has made me appreciate my camera.I love all the friends I've made here.

I have been blogging for about 8 years I think, but 'suburp' is my first fully public blog (that went on for more than a month..). I like reading blogs from people that I can relate to as much as blogs that are very exotic for me, I like the interaction but I am always and firstly writing it for myself, at least I think so. I still write privately (in my mothertongue), and I also still have paper journals, but I enjoy having this blog right now. I DO recommend to anyone who 'grows out' of their blog or gives it up to think of two important steps before they move their webpresence else where : 1.download your blog to have a trace of that part of your life for yourself 2. delete the blog/account if you truely want to move on. you would not leave any old but personal journal just on any park bench, would you ?

I love all of these comments. I just LOVE reading about why people blog, how they came to, why they keep going. And suburp, great advice for those ending a blog. An important point to remember.
