So, funny story…

Just a reminder of me in my gym gear as seen here – God how I hate this photo FYI
Today was THE day. The back to Curves day. You know curves the ladies gym with the circuit. That one. The one I had been attending regularly up until Christmas eve. Oh yes, thaaaaaat one. Yesterday my sister and I decided we would go back. TODAY.
So we did. 
And as I arrived, gym bag in hand, parking madly because I was 15 minutes later than I thought I would be. I burst through the door and what is underway but the ZUMBA circuit! Holy Moley. First day back and I’m expected to join a brand new ZUMBA circuit. Holy shit, I’m in trouble. 
I got changed and headed out into the circuit. Next to my sister who was already huffy and puffing and loving it. And can I just say, gosh I’m un-co. While shaking my butt, waving my hips and shimmey’ing my boobs I made it through half a circuit {I was late, remember}. And seriously, I was happy with that. It was a big workout to walk straight into after a month off.
I kinda wish I had video of my lame attempts. Guaranteed grey day pick me up. Fail. HA.
I am happy to report my heart rate and blood pressure have improved with my starting the #c25k. Bonus. I peaked at late 160’s rather than topping out at over 180 and being time out’ed. Nice. All going well I start Week 2 next week with new shoes. Loving it. Loving being back at Curves. It is aaaaaalll good baby.

  6. I did Curves a few years ago with my MIL, liked it a lot but never stuck with it. I'm awful at Zumba, like THE WORST! No coordination at all :)Anyways, last year I lost 60 pounds and did my very first 5K in July 2010. It was amazing. Unfortunately I have gained 30 of it back in a short amount of time, but I'm about to get back in the ring. I already know that it's possible, I just got detoured.
