Awesome Weekend – Blogging Fail

Oooooo. Did I ever enjoy myself this weekend. It started with a quiet night at home with Hubby followed by a workday in Brisbane from 10 – 5 on Saturday. And when this ended I was off for dinner and a sleepover at my Jojo’s house. We were heading out for dinner at a recommended Italian restaurant where we ate and drank and chatted and laughed. The restaurant recommendation is on the facebook page. If you need more info, just ask. I’ll find out.
And that is where it started getting a bit off plan.
We decided to head closer to the city to a bar that has karaoke virtually every night of the week. Fueled by a number of wines this plan turned into reality. Catching a cab we soon arrived at the not yet busy venue. Secured a table and ordered some more courage {you see where THIS is going. Sigh}. And after much humming and ahhing we went for it and sang. Breakthrough for me. Common enough occurance for Jo. Ha.
We met some cool people and soon found ourselves partying more than the night away. Home and tucked up in bed by 4am. We buzzed and chatted about what a great night it had been. Recapping information we had missed when separated in the bar. We had prepared for the worst with plenty of water and aspirin for morning. And morning came. Sigh. As it does. And can I just say. Ouchy.
The biggest fail of all this is I have two photos on my phone. Not very impressive ones either. Sorry about that. I had my big camera in the car and everything. Sigh. #bloggerfail Sorry guys. Another time. What did you do this weekend?

  1. Doesn't sound like a fail to me – love those spontaneous great nights out!

  2. Sounds like amazing fun! I love wine, but I don't just get a morning 'ouchy', it takes me 24 hours to recover nowadays. Sigh. SO much fun getting older :)

  3. Haha Blogger fail NOT!!! Sound like you had a fab time… I would call that a win, how could it not be a night out and karaoke well done!! Me I would have loved to do that this weekend instead I was all domesticated and baked while hubby hung new internal doors in the house (we are really wild people haha) Lou

  4. 4am? Girl you have staying power! My weekend was the final one with the offspring at home so it was kind of bittersweet. This week marks the change in routine, back to school, work etc. Glad you had such a fun one.

  5. I always take my camera and forget to use it …you are not alone. Glad you had a good night ;)

  6. sometimes it's cool to just enjoy yourself and NOT think of the memories while it is happening :)sounds like a great night – i LOVE karaoke, but no one goes with me :( hey what goes with the Brisbane blogger meet? is that still on ? (karaoke bloggers?)
