I am wondering a little how it got to Thursday night again. I knew the day itself happened because someone turned my diary page. This week has passed swiftly. To say the least. I am squeezing in three months worth of routine inspections into this one month. I’ve seen a lot this week. Trust me.
It seems like just yesterday that I was sitting down having a chat with Trina about how her 6 foot something other half had tested out his golf swing in the house at 6am. With consequences for the roof and the driver. A golf swing inside, I said, what was he thinking!? But gosh did I laugh. I could picture the face. The exact face that he would have worn when Trina asked What was THAT!?
And then today I was thinking about how hot it was. It was so humid that I couldn’t tell if it was raining again or if it was sweat beading. It turned out it was both. All I keep thinking is, oh gosh, I hope Oprah’s got air con. Seriously. The things that cross your mind. Of course bloody Oprah has air con. She has a private jet. Derr Lis. And then I thought. Hang on. What about me! I want an air con suit.
Today I saw a a tiny little P plate girl driving a massive, elevated {or whatever you call it} suspension 4WD truck thing. With full snorkle and massive tires and bull bar. It was one of those contrast moments that sticks in your mind. The contrast of her tiny little skirt to such a big truck. In the dictionary under contrast you could find that mental picture.
Today was the big day that Hubby was released from his conditional work license. For the past six months he has only been allowed to drive for work between 7 and 7, he couldn’t carry passengers and had to record his movements in a log book. But now he is allowed to drive all day everyday to wherever he wants. So today he arrived home proudly with fish and chips well after 8pm. I just shook my head and laughed. Give the boy an inch and he takes a mile.
And so there you are. Today I thought about how glad I am that in October 2009 I started this blog and all the great stuff that has arisen from it. The people, the opportunities and the freebies. Don’tcha just love blogging.
