Why so quiet?

Hubby’s auto timer car self portrait.
I totally nailed it.

I know people are visiting. I see the clicks going up. In fact I hit a new high over the past few days. We are getting page views I could have only hoped for a mere 12 months ago when we started. I didn’t think that many people would read this blog EVER. All very exciting.

But I have noticed one thing. There are very few comments. Can I ask what gives..? Or is that rude. Should I just be good with the fact that people are reading. If you could. Tell me {email is fine too} is there any reason for not commenting? If not, just say no. If you could.

The non-response will drive me further down the rabbit hole. Argh.

  1. Sometimes it's enough to read a post without having to give our two cents or opinions or agreements on it. Sometimes there's just nothing to say.

  2. I read a lot of Blogs (probably far too many) and don't always comment on every post I read. Also a lot of the hits are probably automated Bots doing searches for key words/e-mail addresses, etc. Other than spamming your e-mail address, a Bot probably won't leave a comment!

  3. Mostly it's a quick read and no time to comment (so mnay blogs, so little time). Much of the time I have nothing worthwhile to add, like now!

  4. I'm loving your latest posts but have little of value to add beyond agreeing with your view on the world! :) Which of course, I'm happy to do sweet stuff but it's not a particularly interesting comment. ;)

  5. I read and try to comment on every blog that I read. Why? Well that's easy because like you, it drives me slightly batty when I see numbers going up but no comments!I have noticed that since I've put that piece on my blog about leaving a pebble if you can't think of anything to say, I am getting comments even if they ARE just pebbles [and yes they do look a little like boobs LOL].x

  6. I don't comment for a lot of reasons:-I'm usually too lazy-I don't feel like I have much to say-sometimes if I leave a lot of comments and a fellow blogger doesn't return the comment love I don't bother-I hate having to do the word verification thing

  7. The Google Commenter thing is giving me crap, making me login two or three times and then loosing my comments half the time. I've slowed down on my comments on all of the blogs I read, just because it's cheesing me off to spend some much time writing something, that then gets lost! Agh!

  8. Well they say that curiosity killed the cat. But me, I've always loved being curious. Thanks for entertaining that. And I don't know what you're talking about Noelle, I love the word verification, it's like free entertainment. :oP

  9. I've not left many comments lately I know. Since I took up walking, I have less computer time, with posting on my own blog, uploading photos takes a fair amount of time, then there's so many other blogs to read, but I'll try to do better.

  10. Me? I'm really not commenting anywhere at the moment. I'm sick, the kids are sick and I'm struggling to post every day for NaBloPoMo.I still lurve Suger Coat It and I will get back to commenting more regularly…honest!
